Star Trek: The Official Starships Collection presents a new larger-scale model of the U.S.S. Defiant NX-74205 which first appeared in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode 'The Search Part 1' and made memorable appearance in the 1996 movie Star Trek: First Contact. This detailed model measures 22cm in length.

Officially classed as an escort ship, the U.S.S. Defiant NX-74205 was a prototype vessel designed to be nothing less than Starfleet’s first dedicated warship. Developed at the Mars Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards, the Defiant was a heavily armed, highly manoeuvrable, stripped-down vessel designed for combat. The Defiant was initially designed by DS9 and Star Trek: First Contact art illustrator Jim Martin.

Cast in high-quality materials and carefully painted by hand to provide incredible detail, the ship comes with a 20-page magazine, where you'll find an in-depth profile of the Defiant, Starfleet’s first-ever warship and discover how the design of the Defiant evolved into a unique starship.
